What makes the Permanent Effects method different?
At Permanent Effects, we bring over three decades of expertise to permanent makeup. Our unique hand method employs gentle needles for superior application and color retention. We collaborate with a pharmacist to create an industry-leading topical anesthetic. Our pigments are renowned for their longevity and color stability, ensuring lasting results for our clients. How long does permanent makeup last?
Permanent makeup doesn't wash away, but it does soften over time. Typically, clients refresh their color every few years. The longevity varies based on individual skin characteristics, sun exposure, skincare routines, and the specific color and placement. Generally, brows need touch-ups every two years, while eyeliner and lip color last four to five years. Scalp micropigmentation usually requires refreshing every three to six years. We offer special pricing for touch-up appointments to help our clients maintain their look.Does it hurt?
Many clients find the experience quite relaxing. We use a gentle hand-method technique with specialized small gauge needles designed for comfort. This approach allows for a controlled and gentle procedure. Throughout the appointment, we apply our custom-formulated topical anesthetics to numb the skin, enhancing comfort. Is it safe?
Our hand method of permanent makeup ensures precise placement and a comfortable experience. We use face-specific instruments that are sterilized and disposed of after each use for client safety. Our pigments meet eu standards, are formulated for facial and scalp use, and have been clinically proven safe. We custom mix colors for each client's unique needs and provide aftercare instructions for quick healing. How long is the healing process?
Post-procedure, an ointment is applied to the treated area. The permanent makeup will appear more intense for the initial few days until dead skin cells naturally exfoliate. A follow-up appointment is scheduled four to six weeks after the initial procedure. What if I need correction from past permanent makeup done by another artist?
We have extensive experience in correcting previous permanent makeup. Our approach involves using specialized pigments to neutralize undesired colors and rectify shapes. For instance, we can address issues like blue-gray or pink brows. Please note that additional charges may apply for correction services. What does hand method permanent makeup mean?
Hand method permanent makeup refers to our technique that doesn't use a tattoo machine. Instead, we utilize needles specifically designed for manual application. This method allows for a gentle, safe procedure resulting in a soft, natural appearance. It differs from microblading, which involves scraping pigment across the skin. Our method provides a more permanent solution with a filled-in powder makeup look, requiring touch-ups only every two years. This approach minimizes scarring and ensures better pigment retention over time. Can I come in for a consultation?
We always offer complimentary consultations. However, many clients find that their questions can be adequately addressed over the phone. Feel free to contact us to discuss your needs and determine if an in-person consultation is necessary.
